Scooter
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Subaru-Impr...061413246QQrdZ1 16 year old kid was late getting home, had to be home by midnight. Wanted to get home as fast as possible so parents won't worry. Get caught for speeding at 142 mph. Insurance goes through the roof and now he's selling the car. Obviously parents must be loaded to buy a 16 year old a $30K+ car plus all the mods. Insurance on a WRX STI isn't cheap either even for an adult. XRe
$23,500 ain't that bad for that ride, but.... Gotta know it's had a hard 30K miles... and besides, he dicked up the trick out, so...

Micah
I can beat the 142 mph With the Jimmy or the S10? I don't think my truck could hit 42 mph without being shoved off a cliff...
JFlowers
Can't provide a ticket, but I do have a picture of the speed board at the dragway.
Scooter
Here's one of the news blurbs about the kid. http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/10526...en&psp=news He's still 100 mph shy of the US record for a speeding ticket.
bgary
Pretty amazing he didn't get arrested. My "favorite" ticket story is from an article, years ago, about a Lamborghini owner's club. At their annual meeting each year, they gave an award for the "lowest fine for the highest speed". The year the article was written, the winner was a Countach owner who got let off with a warning, having pulled over and *waited* for the highway patrol after outrunning the plane that was clocking him. 38supPat
I'm surprised it could go that fast with all the crap in the trunk. Nothing beats putting performance mods on a car, then nullifying them by adding unnecessary weight all over the car...lol
