SteveZ
Washington State is experiencing some of the worst flooding in probably over 20 years. Below are some pictures taken recently. A little water: http://tinyurl.com/y48ncw This is what happens when you build your house too close to the river: http://tinyurl.com/y54t9x Just a little bit of water over the road: http://tinyurl.com/y2uv2e Raging River: http://tinyurl.com/vhym9 Water over the road...and a few other places too!: http://tinyurl.com/udj2g This is a picture of a place called Snoqualmie Falls. SiG Lady
I moved out of Western Washington in 1993 precisely BECAUSE of the flooding and/or constant THREAT of flooding. I was entirely and completely freaked by the damn' water (I'm not a water or boat person)!!! It was maddening and awful.
EricW
Cool! Now I can go paddling without scratching up my canoe on all those stupid rocks.
3quartertime
Got to visit Snoqualmie Falls a few years back with my sister. It was really impressive at it's normal state. She told me that at certain times it would flood like that. Can't imagine seeing it in person!!! WOW...
Gameplayer
(I'm not a water or boat person) I'm not fond of water either, though my current home is on the edge of a lake I'm looking forward to our new home this spring. Too many close calls. Those photos, to me, are frightning.
splashdown
Great pics Steve. Luckily I haven't run into any problems due to weather. Where've you been lately? Haven't seen you shooting at M'ville in the past few months. Edited November 10, 2006 by splashdown
sargenv
It was raining like that over the New year back at the beginning of this year.. We'd always been worried about being snowed in in Medford.. nope, on Dec 30, 2005, we were mud slided in in Medford. Lucky for us, the road opened @ 3:30a, we were on the road at 5a, drove all day to get to the Bay area. So we are 25 miles from home and I80 is closed.. had to take a 60 mile detour to get home. Though that is pretty bad up there. Vince
joecichlid
SteveZ, I have been to those falls. I was there last year in mid-May and it was beautiful. Joe W.

SiG Lady
The Pacific Northwest is enchantingly beautiful under normal conditions.
joecichlid
SiG Lady, I totally agree. I had the pleasure of visiting the Seattle area on my way to Alaska. Now THAT is the great North West if you ask me.
