Rich406
Anyone messed with one of these? The thing looks absolutely massive. In actuality the window is only slightly bigger than a r3 xl, however it’s also half the price. Edited November 23, 2023 by Rich406
RePete
Looking at its width, it may catch on the belt/equipment on the draw. I think that it's too wide.
ReconNav
The guys at the PARAcast podcast are calling this optic the "Quonset Hut." https://www.thevintagenews.com/2016/10/20/quonset-huts-a-practical-building-solution-for-the-u-s-navy-during-world-war-ii/
Nathanb
No way I’m going to run one of these on a gamer gun.
Racinready300ex
It's ugly, but all that really matters is how many rounds will it last? I did see someone that cut those two protective rings off to reduce the size and weight a little for a gamer gun. But that'll nuke any warranty so I'd not do that unless they prove to be vary durable. For now I'll stick with my holosun.
Rich406
For s#!ts and giggles, I ordered one to look at. On paper, the window is only slightly taller and wider than a r3 XL. However, due to the curved glass in the r3, the Cyelee is noticeably bigger. The housing is also much much larger. The dot is also not as bright on full setting as the r3, however I never use full on the r3, so it’s probably ok.
