midatlantic
So I accidentally loaded about 30 rounds of .223 w 22 grains of N133 and a 55 grain bullet to an OAL of 2.21..... Will I blow up my rifle? Can I use them?
Guy Neill
It's not likely to harm your gun. It may be slightly greater pressure, but that may be countered by the increased free bore. Fire one or two and inspect the case(s) to determine whether or not to proceed.
m700
Give it a smack with your inertia hammer and reseat and crimp.

frankge
If you use hornady 55g fmj and crimp to cannelure they will be at 2.20 Edited November 9, 2023 by frankge
Joe4d
IAW VV online data you are at starting load for most of their 55 gr bullet data, mostly loaded a bit longer but you are still under max for 55 gr fox bullets loaded to 2.165. For instance a hornady FMJ loaded to 2.244 shows a max charge of 24 grs,,, Id be pretty comfortable being you are 10% under... Also you didnt mention rifle specs ... we talking a match 223 chamber or a generic 5.56 chamber ? https://www.vihtavuori.com/reloading-data/rifle-reloading/?cartridge=7 Edited November 9, 2023 by Joe4d

Most here assume this is an AR style platform. If it's a precision bolt gun, OAL can be made to fit jump from lands.
