Without counting individual cases, how many rounds of 9mm Luger are in a pound?

use your scale = 437.5 grain = 1 ounce , x 16 = your pound. I get 6' 38 supper in one ounce + some 6.?3 x 16 = 100 +or-, 38 super per pound

Here ya go (for fired brass, anyway, not loaded rounds):

For hand loaded: 7000 grains/bullet+case+primer+powder charge weight in grains = #rounds/pound

For factory: weigh one round and divide that into 7000

Isn't that why the US Postal Svc. has scales that can be zero'd with an empty container in their small branch's?

FWIW, the small (well, pistol-sized ) fold-it-yourself Priority Mail boxes weigh about 2oz or 60 grains. The automatic postage machines will give you a weight in oz before you have to put money in.
