Do hangfires ever happen with a SRH?

I reduced the mainspring down 10# with my SRH.  Has anyone heard of hangfires happening with reduced power springs?  With a revolver the round would have moved such that it's no longer aligned with the barrel and the gun would basically explode.  Debating if I should up it to 12#.

I dropped mine down to 10# and would get an occasional misfire while shooting single action. Use mine mostly for hunting so I stuck with the 12# for reliability. It also made the hammer drop feel slow to me.

Only time I ever got a hang fire was from apparently contaminated primers in a 2011. H lighter main spring just didn’t set them off period.

 And yes, hang fires are bad news. My gun went off about 2 seconds after I pulled the trigger. I was getting ready to unload it already.

Only hang fires I’ve ever experienced were with Wolf large rifle magnum primers. Never had that issue with pistols.

Yes, a revolver that hang-fires can be more dangerous than a semi as you can pull the trigger again immediately and have it fire "out of battery".  Solution:  DON'T pull the trigger again if you get a click-no-bang.  Wait to be sure it's really not going to fire.
