kwelhand Posted November 26, 2021 Share Posted November 26, 2021 (edited) I brought this 40SW Limited Custom and never had a chance to fire it. The round count is about 10K. Anyway, I broke it down completely (detail striped) and cleaned the gun thoroughly before heading out to the range. The safety was very soft feeling with no positive click or any significant force to engage it before. Now after the reassembly, the ambi safety moves up and down freely, and it bounces around when I shake the gun. I can't take it to the range until my safety lever is fixed... I searched the forum and the net without much success. Any thoughts or suggestions? Many thanks in advance. N7VY Posted November 26, 2021 Share Posted November 26, 2021 Yup, if you remove the safety and look on the “drivers” side at the base of the shaft will/or should be a small retained detent.
