RickT
Is this legal? Background: My wife has a really bad right hip. Steel Challenge is the only stage that presents a real problem because of the total angle. Shooting RFPO I've suggest she try indexing between 2 and S, Use two hands in the ready position, but go after 3 and 4 with the right hand only picking up the support hand on the way to 1. I don't see anything in the rules prohibiting this, but how would and RO see this? OTOH, AIWB is now legal in USPSA? mchapman
All rimfire in steel challenge is start from low ready no holster required. And I can see nothing wrong with transitioning to strong during a string, nothing says you can't.
zzt
Not a problem. I'm assuming you are talking about Smoke & Hope. If I had that problem I'd setup as you suggest, shoot 3 and 4 strong hand, then 2 and 1 both hands. I'd experiment with both hands and strong hand only for Stop to see which was fastest. RickT
Thanks for the responses and, yes, S&H. Won't help my wife much RFRO, but I'll encourage her to bring her left hand in closer to the trigger guard which should enable her to get 3 and 4 without so much weight shift. RaylanGivens
Maybe angle her body more towards 3 and 4 so her weight stays on her left (good) side and then swing to the left... Shoot 4, 3, 2, 1, stop... or 4, 3, 1, 2, stop whichever is easier for her.
