pbcaster45
I've still got a lot of 4756 and N105 to go thru but HS-6 works fine. Here's a load I developed for my STI Trubor using regular .38 Super brass. Your 7.4-8.4 gr range should work fine with 38 Super Comp brass. Bullet: Montana Gold 124 gr. JHP Powder: Hodgdon HS-6 8.85 grs. Primer: Winchester Small Rifle Case: Starline 38 Super +P LOAL: 1.240 (.976 with Stoney Point) Avg. Vel.: 1409.57 fps ES: 25.92 SD: 7.41 PF: 174 Recoil Spring: 8 lbs. with Dawson Aluma Buffer Pad

I was around 8 grains of 4756, behind a Zero 125 grain jhp, when VV N350 wasn't available. just about as soft. FYI: I don't think you can possibly put too much 4756 in a 38sc case. I believe around 8 rrains, it was a compressed load. I tried downloading, for 3-gun. Don't remember exactly what the charge weight was, but didn't like it. What Akai do you have? I have an Akai V8 and below are the loads I have used. I only use 115 gr bullets becasue I feel its flatter and return to zero is faster for me 9.7 Gr of HS6,115gr precision delta HP, 1.245 oal, 173 PF 12 gr of AA#7, 115 gr PD, 1.245 oak, 178 PF I like the 12 gr of AA7. I feel like the gun stays flatter.

hurley326
I have used AA7 and SWMP for 9 major and the SWMP does feel flatter than AA7 but that’s for 9major, I never used it for 38sc. What’s your load?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I was thinking of scaling up into the 10s to see if it makes my comp work better. I also was thinking of switching to 115s and scaling up to around 12grns. Theres a few guys who run that setup and they say their guns run stupid flat
