YVK
I have a Clackamass .45 Kimber that I would like to have a Bomar rear sight installed on. It makes sense to me to get slide flat topped before that, which would also lead to a front sight dovetail needing to be re-cut, and slide re-finish. Looking for a gunsmith suggestions. Gans said could not do it on a Kimber slide, I didn't ask why.

YVK
Thank you, I have looked at their FB page, nice work indeed. Might hit them up. Right now I am trying to figure out if Kimber sight cut somehow prevents milling the slide for Bomar.
HOGRIDER
Might want to consider Brandon Bunker's new adapter base for Bomar conversion: Bunker Arms for the plates only: https://www.bunkerarms.com/ Karl Beining is offering the complete install: https://www.kgbcustom.com/about Photos courtesy of Karl Beining.! Midwest3Gunner
It might have to do with the Swartz safety under the rear sight because Kimbers aren't series 70, but they aren't series 80 style either. Those Bunker plates look interesting.
YVK
It is a series 70 pistol.
limitedgun
Check out Bobby @ Freedom Gunworks. He does any level of work you want and is very innovative. I am waiting on a slide he did for me to come back from nitriding, then he will be shipping it to me. Very good value work.
