konkapot
My Dillon is set up to load 9mm. What do I need to change to load 38sc? I know I need a shellplate…...different dies? Why?
warpspeed
Which machine? In general, you will need new dies and the shell plate for supercomp is the same as the 223/556 shellplate. buttons should be the same, same powder funnel.
Hi-Power Jack
The 9mm dies are tapered, just like the 9mm cartridge case. The .38 SC dies are straight, like the .38 SC cases.
Balakay
If you are using a 650, you need dies, .223 shell plate (13345) and Station 1 locator (13614)

HesedTech
Go to the Dillon web sight and find the conversion kit for your press. You can check which parts are different and just order those if you don’t want the complete kit. Another option is to call them and ask what you will need because they are very helpful.
