I haven't tried one Rob, but I have tried one similar from Tanfoglio and I don't have high hopes.  I copied the port design from Eric Davis's comp onto a Czechmate comp which works very well; I'm working on a few design tweaks for the next batch, then when once the ports are dialed in I plan to produce them for Tanfoglio.  They should be ready to go in a few months and I expect them to work far better than any factory offering.

Here's a shot of the first Czechmate prototype:

So this comp will be fit like a Czechmate?  Where the guide rod is used to retain the comp, or a cone fit comp like the GT?

That is totally awesome and looks like it'll work much better than the V12.

I'm also very interested in picking one up once you make them for a Tanfo open gun build.

Both, it's a cone comp and the guide rod keeps it from turning.  The way the CM is designed you have to remove the comp to disassemble, unlike the Tanfoglio where the barrel/comp come out the front of the slide as an assembly.

I'm super interested in the Tanfoglio version of this comp. In fact my open build is on hold in hopes I can get one of these once your ready to move some.

Why there is only one option period for the Tanfoglios has always baffled me.

More interested in performance than how it looks here. Using a 4 port comp on one of my guns now. e0242731b71ff474dec5ba380969d933.jpg

Just added popples to the tanfo 3 port comp on the other gun to see if it will bring the less effective comp closer to the 4 port gun.

Have you tried that comp on a gun with holes?

I like sexy lines and all but at this point in my tanfo GT experience, I'd really like a more effective option. The v12 is just kinda a pain for major and just isn't as flat as it should be.
