NateTSU
I recently picked up a stripped lower for dirt cheap and was thinking of doing a 9mm pistol project. Probably a PSA 9mm upper. I am unsure of what to do about a mag block. I would like a a last round bolt hold open and the mags don't really matter to me colt or glock mags seem to be about the same price. Any info k. Mag block's is appreciated. Link to comment
Garmil
The new stern one looks pretty good little expensive though. Link to comment
optimator
I've been doing the same research. So far the Hahn seems to be the most trouble free. Now to decide between a top or bottom loader.. Link to comment
NateTSU
Yeah they both seem to be around 200. I would like one that could be installed and taken out easily. That way I could use the same lower for a 300B.O shorty. Link to comment
Alvin
Bottom load hahn works very well plus LRHO. Brownell's has them around $160-175. Never a problem with any of mine Link to comment
muncie21
I have had good luck with a Promag (I know, I know, their mags suck) Gen 2, bottom load. It is designed for colt mags and has LRBO. Works fine in my AR lower with PSA 9mm upper and bolt. Edited January 27, 2018 by muncie21 Link to comment
optimator
I ended up finding a good deal on a Hahn top loader. It's had one mag put through it. Since it's going into one of my stamped lowers I also ordered a KNS bolt catch pin to save wear on my lower. Edited January 27, 2018 by optimator Link to comment
NateTSU
Looks like MidwayUSA is selling magblocks now from AR stoner, they have good reviews. I may go that route and a PSA 9mm build kit. Link to comment

NateTSU
I just ordered a ProMag block from optics planet. I read the reviews on OP and Midway and it everyone had good reviews. It has a LRBHO and takes colt pattern mags. Link to comment

NateTSU
I will, the plan is still to have a PSA upper and SB brace. Link to comment
NateTSU
Well my mag block delivered yesterday, it took a total of 20 seconds to drop into my lower lol. I'm excited to finish this build and get it out on the range. Link to comment
je85
I went with a KAK block that uses colt mags. Installs from the bottom. It has a bolt with washer on the top and two set screws in the magwell at the bottom. Takes 30 seconds to install/remove. The KAK block also has last round hold open that works great. Link to comment
NateTSU
Finally got to the range with my pcc. I had zero issues with the ProMag mag block using IWI magazines. I put 300 rounds through it with no problems. Link to comment
