Mradindustries
I recently purchased one of the earlier Costa Carry Comp pistols. Took it to the range. Fit and finish was great. Was short stroking with Federal 115 RTP ammo until i oiled it down. Love the pistol. My only concern is it seems to shoot quite a bit lower than one would expect. Anyone else having this issue. I was thinking about just switching the front sights or should i send it back to STI?
Nugget
Have you tried any other bullet weight? My sti tactical 9mm shoots quite a bit higher with 147 grain bullets as opposed to the 115 grain.
Mradindustries
Ran some 147s through it but they were subsonics as well as some 124s. It seemed it was constantly shooting low. I have heard about some of the older ones having that issue but i havent had anyone confirm.
ambluemax
I had a customer have one that was shooting "low"...It wasn't a 6:00 hold, but it wasn't any lower than my nighthawk or and glock or M&P. Swapping the front sight is your best option.
Mradindustries
Yeah i think i am going to go that route. Other than that i am loving the pistol. It is a a very very soft shooter.
Descartian
I believe there may have been an issue with the first run of CCC pistols being sent out with the wrong front sight post height. I would contact STI and let them know of your problem.
Descartian
They have great customer service and should take care of you.
Bigzeke
Not quite the same model, but I bought a 9mm Shot Show 2017 2011 that shot way too low. Dawson doesnt make a front sight low enough to fix it. Contacted STI with my numbers, they sent out a taller rear and shorter front. Shoots dead on now. Great service. Sucks that it wasn’t right from the start, but it’s good they took care of you!

Drbruce
so is it way softer than a non- comped pistol say a 2011 edge
Descartian
Definitely. It's very light and flat shooting.
