Novagunner
Has anyone had luck with a kydex holster with a sjc frame weight? I got one made for my 35 with it but I get severe binding during draw. The holster manufacturer says that my draw stroke has to be super straight to not bind. Or do people just get a race holster?
9x45
Are you shooting Open, Limited or L10 Divisions?
tyman1876
Do you know of any race holsters that will fit? Most of the ones I looked at won't work with the frame weight because they ride along the bottom of the frame. What company made your kydex holster? Novagunner
I shoot ltd and have a red hill holster. According to sjc, a cr speed will fit a glock 35 with weight with minimal modding and A ghost ultimate will require significant modding but possible. They charge $120 for the mod. Andis2068
I have a Redeye Tactical holster made for the frame weight and it works pretty well.

Maker is pretty close to right. Even holsters for light mounted guns need a pretty straight up draw stroke not to bind. That being said, the CR Speed race holster can work with minimal mods. Novagunner
Yeah. I've run other red hill holsters without any issues. Guess I need to adapt my draw or go race holster.
NWfront
It may break in with use. I had the same issue with holsters and my sharp edged Tanfo. It would eventually carve it's way into a good fit.
Novagunner
Yeah. I get shavings of kydex when trying it. I also just ordered a DAA belt to see if the super stiff outer belt will help me be able to just rip it out of the holster with less flex since I need to set up a 2nd rig anyway. NWfront
That's what I ended up getting myself and it definitely help keep things solid. If you don't already have one I recommend the Boss hanger as well.
