StealthyBlagga
I've only had one bolt break in the many years I have been shooting 3-gun, but then again I don't run hot 5.56-spec factory ammo any more. I was told a large county sheriff's office here (who's former head may or may not be in legal hot water right now) encountered an elevated number of bolt breakages and traced them to a hot lot of Israeli 5.56 ammo. It happens I guess.

Woodsk
At the match I shot today, there were a couple of guys shooting Independence ammo, and it was tearing up the 50-75 yard steel

Yeah, thanks, but that's not very helpful. What manufacturers recommend and what we actually do in the action shooting sports are usually two VERY different things. I saw you visited stealthy' profile just before I did... figured you were looking to see where "local" was... I know that's what I was doing . Apparently another sheriff in a sticky situation
