lynn jones
i'd like to remind the USA shooters especially the Open Shooters, that the World Shoot will be run under IPSC rules, not USPSA rules...well duh! but, anyone using 115gr bullet will have to move to 120gr or higher. the power factors are different. each shooter should check the appendix for their division to avoid shooting for just fun. lynn Edited June 23, 2005 by lynn jones
dirtypool40
good point. PF Goes up for our Limited guys. PF goes down for the Open guys, and no 115's. Standard you guys know about the box rule for mags and placement of gear. Production. Hmm buy something stock, and don't touch it. Read up. Good luck to all, see you next time. shred
Also note that the magazine measurement process may vary. Better not rely on the 29-round USPSA 171.25mm squeezer mag being legal.
BritinUSA
And not limited to 10 rounds in Production, so take some hi-caps if you have them
diehli
And don't forget it's in a different country. Bring your taste buds!
blackdragon
Rules! Are just more like guidelines anyway! Ivan
Chuck Anderson
And for anyone that was taught to do a reload by Travis Thomasie, with the muzzle up. Don't. From everyone that I've talked to if the muzzle goes over the berm, you're out.
dirtypool40
oh jeez. not again.
Patrick Sweeney
Not a problem for me, as I reload a Revolver (PF goes up to 170 from 165) by pointing it straight down. Of course, I've been warned about potential sweeping of my big feet while loading. A guy just can't get a break.
gmshtr
That 45degree angle while reloading thing something that was warned about at WSXII in the Philippines because people lived about 45 degrees up the berm! That would've been wierd to see...some guy sitting on his front porch drinking a tall one...on the berm! BTW, the tuffest change is the mag position for Standard. Change 'em now. Don't do what I did in 2003, and wait a couple of weeks earlier to move them. Phil
BDH
Lynn, great reminder so no one gets caught offguard... Phil, sorry I knocked down Turtle's popper in Ohio... Will you still 'sway with me' during my walkthru...
gmshtr
Absolutely! I'll sway, I just won't swing......yet. BTW, your shirt (which I forgot to give to Turtle) will be signed this weekend. I've also got the hat at the house. I'm guessing you'll be getting them at the Nationals! Sorry for the delay. See you soon. Phil
proff
Two more points on the difference between shooting USPSA and IPSC. DO NOT make any movements (even slight) with your finger in the trigger guard. Your constitutional rights will end at the water's edge. Be aware. Best of luck to all US competitors. Bring back the glory! TP
