In the description they say it lasts 20K rounds, for $99 that's half a penny per round. Besides, Tanfoglio factory comps are aluminum and I've never heard of one breaking. Bamboo
The EGW 3 port comps work pretty good. Got one on a dedicated steel gun and have no complaints. They offer them in aluminum and steel.
echotango
I was happy with the egw on my steel gun.
billdozer
Do they have 11/16-40 threads?
Bamboo
Yes, EGW calls their bull barrel comps "hybrid" comps for bull or hybrid barrels and they have 11/16-40tpi. http://www.egwguns.com/1911-parts/cnc-3-port-comp-hybrid/ I used the cone comp version of that on a dedicated steel gun. It was tri-topped but the pix give you an idea of what that comp looks like. Edited May 2, 2017 by Bamboo
RippinSVT
I really like my 2-port Clark steel comp. My experience on other guns with 9 Minor loads and bigger comps has been reliability suffers because it takes a weaker spring to run the gun and that in turn can lead to feeding issues. I have one gun with a 3-port and 2 side ports that won't run 130PF ammo consistently with a 7lb spring. Some guys have success with the bigger comps and Minor loads (like SC/Bianchi Minor), but I don't personally think it's worth the headache. zzt
Take a look at this. http://www.egwguns.com/1911-parts/hybrid-titanium-compensator-11/16-x-40/ They also make it in .575 x 40 for a standard threaded barrel.
