Cz sp-01 slide stop

Here is what I do, for what it's worth.

Every 6 months a brand new one goes in the main gun (mg). The slide stop from the mg then rotates down to the practice gun (pg). The slide stop from the pg goes into my range bag. The one that was previously in my range bag lives there to be given to someone at a match if they break theirs or goes into a spares pile in a box at home. So yeah, at any given time I have two in guns and two out of guns. But I move them every 6 months and it's not an issue for me.

More interesting is why they  broke. Cz slidestop killer is to release slide full spring tension on empty gun. If you escort slide on empty gun you can doudle or triple slidestop life. Now my slidestop average life is about 40-50k.

slide stops drop in. the only thing some do to them are relieve the end of the arm that is activated by the follower to clear long ammo. pictures of this lots of places.

A Shadow one is different than a 75 one, yes. The Shadow/SP01 slide stop is wider and longer. Many people who shoot Production choose to run the RAMI silde stop. It is thinner, smaller and weighs less and if you're doing it right you never do a slide lock reload.

So just buy extra stock ones and keep them? Should you replace them every so often or just wait till they break?

Hey Ricky, Rich O here. I was wondering what happened to you yesterday. I broke one at SAPSA earlier this year when I was still shooting the CZ. I would definitely suggest having a back up. You're welcome to borrow my slide stop for next weekend if you don't have a chance to order a new one in time. Just let me know.

Mine is from a regular Sp-01 but my understanding is it will work in a Shadow. Rowdy can probably clarify.
