CZ P-09 Appendix Holster

Hi Guys,

I've decided that my P-09 will be better suited as a carry gun than shooting production seeing as I'm pretty committed to shooting open and limited. Looking for an AIWB holster for it but not having much luck. I saw JMCK has one, but that's about it. Would like something like the INCOG, but am not seeing an option for a P-09.

Thanks for any help.

I'm running the JMCK appendix holster for my P09. About the only thing I'd do differently is get the holster without the full sweat guard, but I'm pretty happy with that rig. It also conveniently fits my Stock 2, P07, and CZ shadows too. :)

Is the P09 not too much gun (in the grip, mostly) to appendix for you? I know a couple people that carry full size guns appendix, and I just don't see how that would work. I have a hard enough time just with my subcompact haha.

I was considering a P07 as an appendix piece though.

I've been appendix carrying a SW Shield in a holstereo not designed for AIWB for the last 9 months or so, and there is no problem for me. I've carried a full size 1911 IWB for several years with no issues. My dress and body type make it a non issue.

To give you an idea, I'm 5'8, 200 pounds, stocky, fit (I power lift for fun), with broad shoulders. I wear button downs loose in the front when I'm dressed casual, and have concealed a 5" 2011 AIWB once or twice.

It's the weight, cheap replacement cost, and 19+1 capacity that make me want to carry the P09, and appendix has proven viable for me. Personal record with my shield on a modified bill drill (5 yards) was 1.81. I like appendix a lot. Hope that filled you in a bit. AIWB is not for everyone, though, for sure.

That's pretty awesome. I do carry AIWB every day, I would never change back to anything else now that I'm used to it. I was more just wondering since the grip is so long. But I guess that's pretty body dependant, I am a fairly thin frame and wear tight fitting clothing so much more grip than what I'm currently carrying really shows. That's awesome if you can carry the big gun though!

Thanks, Gooldy. I decided to go with the JMCK appendix holster. A buddy of mine has one for his G19 and it is well made for AIWB. 9-10 week lead time, but I can wait.

I think AIWB is not for everyone for obvious reasons, bit it can be very effective if trained and using a good holster.
