As long as the mag well is not too big to fit The Box.

Basically flat in the box. It's ok if you have to turn it a little as long as the lid closes. Weight is sometimes an issue with 9mm 1911s. Mine doesn't make weight with VZ grips so it gets to wear a pair of lightweight Raasco grips.

I run a Trojan in 45 for CDP with a mag well. I used to run a Trojan in 40 in ESP with a mag well.

They have/had VZ grips and made weight.

I sometimes run my Trojan with a Dawson Ice mag well. It fits in the box for both length and thickness. Where you get bit is if all your mags are Wilson with the large Wilson bumper. That will not let the gun fit in the box without sanding.
