bkfranklin22
Did I make a good choice going with the 929 for uspsa? Also is it better to run it in Open division?
pskys2
Like about anything we use in USPSA it may take a bit of tuning but once you have the bugs worked out it should be good. Take the Compensated Cap off an hit Revolver Division.
MWP
929 comes with a blank cap, drill the muzzle cap out a little larger, and just shoot revo division with the rest of us.
Forrest Halley
Why drill it out larger?
MWP
So you don't shoot it.
Forrest Halley
I was unaware there was danger of this. Mine appears quite a bit larger than 9mm...
MrDanCheck
Just take the stupid cap off.. There is no real reason to have it on there..
UFO
If you don't open it up, they have a tendency to lead up....
Forrest Halley
I am not a fan of all the back fouling around the muzzle "nipple". I am currently trying a bit of blue loctite to see if that will seal well enough to stop the fouling. Next I will try Teflon tape. Thoughts? Is this a one piece barrel or a shroud and liner? MWP
You're getting black fouling coming out behind the cap? It's a one piece barrel.
Forrest Halley
You're getting black fouling coming out behind the cap? It's a one piece barrel. Yes I am. I think Teflon tape should solve this. If it doesn't I may go the way of Lentz and have it contoured as he did.
MWP
Cutting the nipple off and re crowning may not be a bad idea.
