cjdaniel78
Steel frame?! Now I want a PCR.
hlpressley
PCR with a safety and steel frame? The only PCR I am seeing is the 75D PCR which has the decocker and a forged aluminum frame.
ArrDave
PCR is aluminum frame and decocker, compact has safety and steel frame. I went compact for the safety starts and heavier frame. Probably won't amount to a hill of beans but whatever Sent from an iDevice. Please forgive any grammatical or spelling errors. JamisonMcCollister
Awesome I've gone the P01 route but that pistol sounds interesting to me because it has the Manual safties. I really like the Manual safeties over the decocker. But the feel and look of the P01 remind me of my shadows.

alma
This is my Compact L with lots of CZC and GCW upgrades. Great gun and perfect for CCP or EDC but I plan on listing this in the classifieds soon since I have moved to a different platform for competition. JamisonMcCollister
Alma I love that gun. It's exactly what I have been looking for. I wish I hadn't bought my P01 now. Is it a steel frame or alloy like the P01???
oldfrank
Very nice sir which sights did you opt to go for? I used the competition black rear and FO front from Cajun Gun Works.
hlpressley
Sweet gun indeed Alma! Love the P-01 style frame with the manual safety.

It's an alloy frame. The combination of the CZC trigger work and the CGW parts made for an excellent trigger. Only thing better might be the Shadow Compacts but I think those are even more rare. JamisonMcCollister
Yes the shadow compacts are rare. But I wanted the Manuel safety over a decocker but you can't find that. And your compact L is the first one of those I've seen and your the first person I've talked to who is even thinking about coming off of one. vixty
Will the pcr work in a sp01 holster like the p01 will?
wingnut
I shoot a PCR in IDPA works great. PO1 and PCR are aluminum with decocker the 75 compact is steel.
hlpressley
Picked up my P-01 today. Gun feels great in the hand but I am sure the VZ Grips that I just ordered will only make that better. Also plan to call David @ CGW on Monday to get some parts for the Pro Package as well as a set of sights on order!
rumblestrip
Shot a PCR at the indoor range today, where it was hotter inside than outside,(90º+) and I can see how once you clean up the DA pull, it would be a great IDPA CCP gun.
JamisonMcCollister
Exactly that's what I was thinking. Monday my EX FP, and 85 combat trigger will be here and then all I'm really lacking is a good set of sights. I've already dropped the Vz grips on and an 13# main spring, and 14# recoil and SS guide rod.
hlpressley
JamisonMcCollister it sounds like you and I are almost building the same gun at the same time. I just picked my P-01 up Saturday and plan to call David @ CGW later today to order parts for the Pro Package as well as a set of sights. I ordered my VZ grips on Saturday. Should be a great IDPA CCP gun once complete.
JamisonMcCollister
Yes it does pressley. Soooo does any have good link to a complete disassembly and reassembly video or instruction. Specifically about the sear cage. For the de cocker. ???
