Pitting on SS

I have a gun that I have not used in years. It is SS but the finish is in poor shape. I use to use it for a carry gun and I guess it was not cleaned very well when it went in the safe about 7 year ago. The internals are very clean and the barrel is spotless. It is not an expensive gun and not worth spending much money fixing. It is a Fire Star 45ACP

Is there any way to buff or clean it? Any products that I should try?

I would send it out to be refinished but I don't think it is worth it.

Benny Hill, where would I get that product that you mentioned???

Is this the gun smith benny hill, from Texas?

If so you just did a trigger job on my friends gun. sweeeeet trigger.

Sniper man, I checked out that web site. I may use them for my good guns but the cost to refinish may exceed the value of this gun.

I would post a pic if I could figure out how.

Where would I go to figure out how to do this?

I held back but since Benny let it slip, Steel Wool

That's the best thing about SS. Screw it up and fix it real quick.

Course you would be surprised what a TIG and a Bead Blast will do for regular steel B)
