jon49erfan Posted June 3, 2015 Share Posted June 3, 2015 Red dots are great, unless you have astigmatism. Using a smear as a reticle isn't the most ideal situation. Quite a few hunters use them where hunting with magnification is not allowed. The biggest drawback to me was the fact it wasn't daylight bright. I liked the reticle design and it looks like Vortex did as well since the Spitfire uses the same reticle. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

BitchinCamaro Posted August 25, 2015 Share Posted August 25, 2015 (edited) Just a heads up: I finally got hard subtension data from Leupold , to Igor at Streloc, and now the DCD prismatic reticle is on Streloc + or pro. While I was talking to the tech at Leupold, they explained to me that they never released different pris reticles because they were "impossible to see" on a 1x. Messing around with Streloc, and looking at the Burris 1x reticle, it's pretty clear that they could have had a winner with the inclusion of some thin short stadia with a subtension marking or two.
