Mikelindsey
Can you use 5.56 brass to reload .223 out of them. I've been reloading pistol for a year on my 650 but just got my .223 dies. Thanks

RiggerJJ
As long as they are sized and trimmed, yes. Unlike pistol brass, trimming is a must. Most use a 2 head system or use hand trimmers, and swaged brass needs the swage removed... Rifle loading is a bit more fussing than pistol loading. jj

mele
Crimped brass need to be swaged to remove the crimp.
Steve RA
If you are interested in keeping it as easy as possible I would recommend just using one brand/headstamp as it will simplify things.

constable79
If you are using load data for commercial brass (223) then you need to reduce the load by about 3% when loading in .556 because military brass typically has less case capacity. Your loading manual should have a note stating whether the loads were developed using military brass or commercial brass..
