crazygiant
First my game of choice is 3gun. And I do reload for 40 already. I just sold my M&P 40c to get a dedicated "game" gun. I am trying to decide between going with a M&P pro 5" or a CZ 75 variant. Also should I stay with 40 or make the switch to 9mm. Thanks for the input. RangerTrace
Get the Pro and load 40 minor for 3gun. At least you can go major if you ever decide to shoot USPSA.
Kwontanamo
I also know a lot of people who are known to do that. They prefer that recoil of a 40 minor over 9mm.
Hi-Power Jack
You can get more cartridges in a 9mm mag than a .40. The CZ75 is probably the better gun, but if you're used to the Smith, I'd suggest staying with that.
Godbybe
CZ 75 Shadow in 9mm is my pick.
kingmedicine
I pick 9mm from cost of reloading... I already have the gear and it's cheap
crazygiant
I think I'm going to go with the 40 M&P 5" pro. Mostly because I already have 4 extra mags with tti extended base pads, a holster, and ask the supplies to reload for 40 and I do have a nice minor load already worked out. I'll just put CZ on my wish list for when I get some more disposable income. I think a full steel 9mm would be a nice gun but fiscally the pro makes more sense right now. BeerBaron
have you considered a CZ tactical sport in 40? you already know the calibre and are used to it. would give you the round you want but in a CZ platform. make a great gun for limited in USPSA and for 3gun too. crazygiant
My god that is beautiful, what's the price on something like that though? Edited February 4, 2015 by crazygiant
Smitty79
I picked up a second hand Tac Sport for under $1000. One of the beauties of this gun is that if you decide you want to go with 9mm, you can just buy a 9mm barrel and some mags and be ready to rock and roll with more rounds in the gun. BTW, have you ever shot 3 gun before? I started action shooting 2 years ago doing 3 gun. The amount of practice needed to get decent with all 3 guns is daunting. I'm just shooting pistol games now. When I hit my goals there, I'll go back to working on the shotgun and rifle.
sfinney
That may have started out as a sub $1000 gun but with all the custom work it is surely a $2K plus gun now.... Nice gun.
CZinZA
The good thing about the tactical sports is that you don't really need to customise it much, if at all. With a magwell and some grip tape (not shown in photo) it's magnificent. Just add ammo and you're away Edited February 4, 2015 by CZinZA

Yes I have shot 3 gun I got into it last year with the what I had and did pretty well already dropping duces like no other and can almost quad load everytime. And the rifle is pretty easy for me. I would say that the pistol is my weakness, but even then it's not that bad. And I guess I know where my tax returns are going now!
