  2. I use coated cast bullets in my 9mm major load - 115 grains at over 1500 feet per second. I have had no issues with leading or accuracy at all Sent from my SCH-I545PP using Tapatalk

  5. For those with access to a laser cutter, here are some templates for cutting numbered magazine labels from skateboard grip tape for the baseplates of your magazines. The design files are from SolidWorks, but the laser cutter should accept the "dxf" format file. 6. For those with access to a laser cutter, here are some templates for cutting numbered labels from skateboard grip tape to go on your CZ magazine baseplates (at least for the TS / Czechmate and the P09). The design files are from SolidWorks, but the cutter should take the dxf file format. 7. A similar previous (metric IPSC) design, before painting...
  8. In case somebody wants some design files for a simple USPSA mini-popper.... The base is made from mild steel (a piece of laser-cut plate, some 3" equal angle, some 1" equal angle and some 2" flat bar). The popper plate itself is laser-cut from something hard enough for the job (VRN500, Hardox 500, or available equivalent). The 3" angle protects the adjustment arrangement from being shot, but covers some of the popper plate. The size of the plate is thus designed so that the visible section (above the 3" angle when assembled) conforms to the USPSA rulebook size for a mini popper. The files with extensions starting with "sld" are from SolidWorks - a free eDrawings viewer is available online. 9. Sounds like I need to wear body armor to your next match, Josh I guess the only complaint might be if it ends up being a test of physical capability, rather than of shooting skill. That will depend on how you set it up (do you need to be young and agile to do it) Sent from my SCH-I545PP using Tapatalk
  10. Good idea on the change in bullets. I agree with you - snow is better than mud any day Sent from my SCH-I545PP using Tapatalk
  11. I'm also waiting to chrono some HS6 loads for 115 grain bullets in my new czechmate, but the southern Idaho weather isn't helping either and the range is all deep mud. Strangely, I managed to load to 1.16" without modifying the chamber at all. Can't wait to test it out.... Sent from my SCH-I545PP using Tapatalk
  12. Just something to consider. ... If your crimp die is slightly too tight, the case wall grabs the bullet firmly before it has completely seated. As the case continues to rise in the die, the bullet can't move further into the case, so the case walls buckle under the strain. You end up with a ridge (or two) partway down the case. Simply backing out the crimp die a fraction of a turn will fix the problem Sent from my SCH-I545PP using Tapatalk
  13. With a CZ you normally can't go wrong by loading to the CIP / SAAMI spec Sent from my SCH-I545PP using Tapatalk
  14. I've just moved to the US and my shooting gear hasn't arrived yet. So my range stuff is currently carried in a Walmart bag (at least until the bag tears). Sent from my SCH-I545PP using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks. At least (hopefully) there's not something wrong with me. It just takes time.... I'll keep working on it Sent from my SCH-I545PP using Tapatalk
  16. I have now trained myself to grip the gun really hard in dry fire. But I just can't seem to transfer that to my live fire. No matter how much I tell myself to grip it like it owes me money, when the buzzer goes it all goes out the window. It's a problem that's been dogging me for months now and I wish I could sort it out Sent from my SCH-I545PP using Tapatalk

  19. Hi Chips0410, I'm a resident of Twin Falls now, and a member of MVPSA (although I don't even own a gun yet). I now need advice on where to buy reloading supplies (powder, bullets, cases). Where do you usually do your shopping for that sort of thing? Thanks Steve Sent from my SCH-I545PP using Tapatalk
