I look forward to learning from all the experienced guys and gals on here. Right now I'm the proud owner of a CZ P-09 with trigger work done by Canjun Gun Works. I also currently have a Grand Power X-caliber on order at my local dealer. I plan to start dry firing practice very soon. Any beginner tips you guys could share would be greatly appreciated. Awesome club. They have a shoot of some type or another, every Sat & every Sunday - 8 shoots/month. Great Facilities. Just starting out - no bad habits? Great --- Give Manny Bragg a call down in Frostproof. Take a two day course to learn how to shoot competitively. Dot Torture Drill - live by it. See you at the range. What are the costs and requirements to join? I live about 30-35 minutes away and being a single father of two boys, sometimes the mandatory meetings are too much if held during the week. Costs c. $200/year but little more the first year. You have to attend 1-2 meetings in the evening and a course during the day. But, LOTS of activities (shooting events) every Sat and every Sun. And you can easily save the $200 membership fee in the cost savings of each shoot by being a member. But, if you're from Titusville, you might look into Volusia - closer to home and very good programs, and less expensive to join. There's also a club/range in Titusville (actually Mims, I think, but I don't know too much about it other than the range is very good.
