I enjoy flipping through FrontSite and would like a monthly magazine that deals well with tactical pistols and related equipment. Any recommendations, ones to avoid? I'd prefer a magazine that isn't afraid to say something sucks if it does in fact suck. What brought this up is I got a thing int he mail from Guns and Ammo advertising a 2 yr subscription for $15... jkrispies Posted January 14, 2015 Share Posted January 14, 2015 If you like looking at the pictures, etc, subscribe, but frankly I haven't found a magazine out there that doesn't skew its articles based on who pays to advertise for them. If you go by magazines--at least as of several years ago, which was the last time I paid for one when I was stuck in an airport or something--and I'd think that the Taurus Judge is the only tactical/defense/SHTF firearm I needed to own! If you want real info, just learn how to use the search function on this website, or other quality sites... though I haven't found any other site that compares to BEnos. American Rifleman is good for the reading room-but you get that "free" anyway. You are never going to get a real opinion in a magazine, don't know why, you just won't . "All guns are great and all guns useful and accurate for the purpose in mind". Thats why even a blunderbuss would get a great review in Guns Go Blammo. copecowboy22 Posted January 14, 2015 Share Posted January 14, 2015 At one time SWAT was decent. I had trained with a few of the regular authors and had a great deal of respect for them.
