Adam B
I decided to swap out the stock hammer for the CZC Competition Hammer on my TS 40. Got everything put back together and now the slide only cycles about 1/3 of the way, the hammer is bottoming out and hitting the slide not allowing it to come back any further. Any ideas what would be causing this?
CZ85Combat
you need the short comp. hammer. http://czcustom.com/czcomphammerlowfat.aspx
Adam B
the hammer is not hitting the bottom of the rear sight blade, will this hammer still correct my issue?
kneelingatlas
It sounds like your issue is an installation one, did you install the hammer strut backwards?
Adam B
trust me I checked, I installed the the same way it came off the stock hammer
Czhase
Where is the hammer hitting on the frame? Any pictures?
leas327
Can you thumb the hammer back to cock it?
Adam B
the hammer cocks fine when the slide is forward, once the slide starts back the hammer bottoms on the beavertail and the slide will no longer go back any further, there is no room between the hammer and the slide. I can get pics when I get hom Edited December 8, 2014 by Adam B
kneelingatlas
So if I'm imagining correctly, the hammer gets wedged between the slide and beaver tail? Interesting... I've owned and worked on better than three dozen CZ75 platform pistols and never seen such a thing.

SDM
Mine did that. I just filed the hammer until it cleared.
Adam B
I contemplated doing that but it looked like quite a bit of material compared to the hammer I took off the gun, CZ Custom wont take it back per their return policy so maybe I will try it
CZ85Combat
Been there done that. you need the short comp. hammer. Call CZC and ask if it will fix your problem, it did on two of mine.
