boudreux
I've recently switched from a bladetech owb holster with the belt high stingray loop to the drop and offset attachment. I haven't worn it in a match but I have tried it on. I noticed that the bottom of the holster is canted towards my leg. Is there a reason why it is like that? open17
That might be the "offset"? The hanger that Bladetech is using lately is made of a softer almost rubbery material, and the weight of the gun tends to bend it a bit. Watch it---really easy to violate the 2" rule on distance from belt to gun with the current version of the DOH.
boudreux
Yea I thought about that but it cants in even when there is no gun in it.
bigdave24
I have no idea why they do that, but I did not like the gun pointing at my leg. I put the hanger in a toaster oven at 325 degrees for 10 minutes, and bent the 'legs' parallel with oven mitts.
kneelingatlas
The holster cants outward to make more room for your thumb between the pistol and the hanger.
trgt
A lot of the folks at our club notice the DOH was WAY more than 2" inner belt to their gun, most either 1) took a heat gun to it and bent it back a bit to be legal or 2) bought the Ben Stoeger hanger and remounted their holster on that.
