jbear29
What is the simplist process to remove the rod from the bellcrank or the return bracket to allow pulling pins from toolhead in order to dump powder by removing toolhead??
Youngeyes
Welcome to the forums. Just pull out the white washer and remove the fail safe rod from the fail safe return bracket.. The newer units will be stiff and may take some force. You won't break it. You can also just turn the 550 upside down and shake.

Sarge
Pull straight down on the white collar/bushing. You have to pull the handle down some to give it some slack. Then pull pins and turn upside down or loosen powder drop from toolhead and turn upside down. hopefully you get the picture.

Flash74
I must be an idiot. I never thought to remove the pins and remove the toolhead to dump powder. I have always removed the fail safe rod and two screws that hold the powder dispenser on and dumped that way.

I've been pulling the screws and fail safe rod also.
Reinz
Uniquetek sells a tool that acts as a powder dump when you use it to push the powder bar out. It's real slick! Edited November 3, 2014 by Reinz
