3n37 for some reason will REALLY heat your barrel. It will be a flame thrower also.

Used the same load before @ 1.170", it does average around 170pf.

Thanks. I will try this load tomorrow and test.

3n38 is a pain, to full...

Hello: There are better 9mm powders out there than 3N37. It is a barrel burner powder. It heats the barrel up a lot. You could try Winchester Auto Comp, Ramshot Silhouette or Hodgdon HS-6. All work better for me than 3N37. Thanks, Eric

Thank Eric, what I have available to me is 3n37 and 3n38. 3n38 is a huge pain because 9.2 grains in a 9mm case is quite full, but it does work.

I guess I need to get my hands on some others to try.

Last time I used 3N37 I was running 7.9gr at 1.165 with 124gr JHP and small rifle primers. Was getting 170pf with full size gun no barrel holes. It will heat your gun up but if you have no other choice it will work.

I loaded this today. CCI SPP primers, 1.18 COAL with 7.9 grains, 124g xtreme double plated bullets.

10 shots were 1403-1411 FPS from a 5" trubor.

To my hand/eyes in this gun, I could not tell the difference between it and 9.2 of 3n38.
