Noximus03
Well, after shooting a 2011 Lim gun for over a year, I took the plunge to get back into open and bought a CK Arms 9 major blaster. I loved open when I was running a Glock, but this will be a different world. I'm wondering from you guys, how many rounds did you run through your new build before you considered it broke in and race ready? Did you shoot a lower PF during your break-in, or did you shoot full PF rounds? Thanks!
BrianATL
Full power loads race ready whenever it runs 500 rounds perfectly.
donnyglock
When I build a gun I put about a hundred rounds through it for function testing and sighting in. Then its to a match with it. I shoot major from day one. I clean my guns after every match.
SilverBolt
Just had a 9-Major built by Cameron's. Ed's break-in suggestion was to run full major loads but don't let the gun get too hot. Keep it well lubed. After at least 500 rounds and preferably 1000 unleash the beast.
cnote
And clean a 9 major religiously, most of the powders used for them are filthy. Save yourself from lazy induced failures of sort. I tried running mine like my limited guns and it would choke on me , due to me
waynes_world_45
Welcome to the CKArms family…I run 7.7 gr Autocomp on a Zero 115gr jhp at 1.165…that length pushes it in a STI mag with a spacer but runs well in my old style SVI mag….soft and flat

captain037
As soon as I can get a couple of range sessions in with major loads and without cleaning between, I'm ready to go.
Noximus03
Good info, thanks everyone. Gonna experiment with different powders. AC, 3N37, and 7625 all with 115's and see what happens through the chrono and the comp. I've never shot a gun with holes, but I'm looking forward to this.
