M&P APEX Trigger : poly vs aluminum?

Hi folks -

I'd like to further refine my M&P trigger. It already has some apex parts in it, but still has the awful stock hinged trigger.

Is there a consensus as to the poly vs aluminum apex upgrade? I am aware that they both offer the same function in in basic sense but reviews have been mixed. Is it worth the money for for the alum to to get better tactile sense of mechanics? Does the crisper trigger face lend itself to better trigger pull discipline?

(I acknowledge that the answer to some of this is to train more, but I'm increasingly aware of the importance of good gear. Been working against myself too many years.)

I've never handles the Poly trigger but I have three of the Aluminum Apex triggers that I really like a lot.

Me too - have two aluminum FSS trigger kits and love them. No experience with the plastic version.

I have both-one in my Pro 40 and one in my 9mm Core. I hands down like the polymer FSS better. It's smoother. AND much less expensive. Win, win.

I've got the polymer version on all my M&Ps. The polymer version has more rounded edges and fits the finger better.

Well thanks very much for the thoughts, folks. This was tough but I went with the poly since I couldn't find overwhelming evidence for the alum. Plus I spent the difference on an armorers block.

Ive used both, and there is no difference other than the tactile feel of Aluminum vs Polymer. For the money I would recommend the Polymer.

I think you will be very happy with the poly trigger. To me it felt better than the aluminum on my finger. As far as function, they both felt the same.

I have both, I like the polymer trigger better. Like other have said, it feels better than the aluminum. Plus, the polymer is cheaper and easy to install the trigger bar pin.

I recently installed the alu FSS and the pin that secures the transfer bar was pre-installed (with enough room to put the transfer bar in position).

I also have both and agree 100% w the above. They pretty much feel the same, unless you're building an M&P open gun, the polymer works great. Really no need to spend the extra $40 ............
