DocMedic
Are there any negatives to the JP Silent captured spring in a carbine? I wouldn't call it a negative, but you will need to re-adjust your gas settings on your rifle. I need a wee more gas to get my to cycle properly. scooterdog
Downside, you are going to want one for every rifle. Why is that? What happens with the rifle that controlability is that much better with one? I don't have one so I am curious what they make better. Thanks. Colodrew
Downside, you are going to want one for every rifle.Thtat is what has happened to me. I love JP stuff however I will use what I think works the best. All my rifles have the silent captured spring because of what they don't do. They don't make noise. It doesn't vibrate the rifle in some wierd way causing a poor sight picture. If you don't have an adjustable gas system JP makes a alternate spring pack to tune your rifle. Try one, you won't be disappointed.
