jedmyers
Hello! I just picked up an STI 9mm with a 5" barrel. I am needing load ideas for it. I will be shooting limited minor and 3 guns with it. Thanks!

SPDGG
OP: Of the 2x powders you posted above: W231 for Minor PF - Great powder for the weights listed below. Bullet weights from 124-135-147 will work. RN will be the best choice if you are short on time to work OAL with FP/TC type bullet profiles. Search will bring up a lot of data for any of those combinations w/ W231. Charge weight will vary with bullet type: Lead, Coated, Plated, Jacketed OAL will be dependent on your barrel, but again search will give you an estimate as will Reloading Manuals. - Gun spring setup front to back will also be personal preference with the load you settle with. Chrono will be the only way to determine proper PF of your load in your gun. Edited August 2, 2014 by SPDGG

Hi-Power Jack
I have some Winchester 231 You'll probably like about 3.6 gr WW231 with your 147 grain bullets - so I'd start at 3.2 or 3.3, and work up with a chrono watching for signs of pressure. OAL should be in the 1.125 - 1.135" range. But, you'll have to make sure that works in your gun/mags.
dauntedfuture
I shoot solo 1000 with 147 Precision delta or Zero bullets. Fast powder and heavy bullets = light recoil.
