Ideal load for 9mm STI limited gun

OP:

Of the 2x powders you posted above:

W231 for Minor PF

- Great powder for the weights listed below.

Bullet weights from 124-135-147 will work.

RN will be the best choice if you are short on time to work OAL with FP/TC type bullet profiles.

Search will bring up a lot of data for any of those combinations w/ W231.

Charge weight will vary with bullet type: Lead, Coated, Plated, Jacketed

OAL will be dependent on your barrel, but again search will give you an estimate as will Reloading Manuals.

- Gun spring setup front to back will also be personal preference with the load you settle with.

Chrono will be the only way to determine proper PF of your load in your gun.

I have some Winchester 231

You'll probably like about 3.6 gr WW231 with your 147 grain

bullets - so I'd start at 3.2 or 3.3, and work up with a chrono

watching for signs of pressure.

OAL should be in the 1.125 - 1.135" range. But, you'll have

to make sure that works in your gun/mags. :cheers:
