Willz
Hey guys can anyone tell me how much the Fiocchi 7/8oz low recoil slugs drop at 100 yards?
Doug H.
A lot. If I zero at 50yards I'm about 18" low at 100 yards. I switched to a 75 yard zero and now it's about 6" low at 100. Doug
Fullauto_Shooter
I know you're asking about 7/8 oz Fiocchi Low Recoil and I don't have any data on those. But I can tell you that my 1oz Fiocchi Low Recoil only drops about 3-4 inches from a 50 yard zero to 100 yards - this is out of a Benelli M2 with 21" barrel. I'm looking at a slug target right now and the drop measures roughly 3.5 inches between 50 and 100. Hope this helps.
Willz
Yes that helps. I'm going to the range tomorrow to sight in some 7/8 Fiocchi low recoil slugs. I've never shot any slugs thru my new Versa Max and I intend on shooting a match Saturday morning. Better late than never.

Therealkoop
Remington Versamax 22" 12 o'clock tip of the fiber optic at 50 Just below the bottom of the optic at 100. On an IPSC target, I put the dot on the head at 100 and hit the lower part of the lower A zone, sometimes as far south as the C.

CmbtEngr
And here's a Versamax-Fiocchi combo. Your holds are bound to be different...
Willz
Well crap, Versa Max is broken. Shell catch cracked. Anyone have a shell catch/ bolt hold open for Rem Varsa Max? Looks like the Win 1200 pump is getting sighted in and going to the match.

Willz
Rhodie seems your info held true to my experience. Not sure why they were low on my initial 100 yd sight in. Well I ran the pump in Saturdays shotgun match. I shot the Fiocchi the day before at 100 yards and found the drop aprox 16-18 inches. So the very first stage of the match had 18x24 steel plates at approx 65 yards. So I held my bead right on the top of the plate. Every shot went right over the top. So the next slug targets later in the match were from 65 to 87 yards I held center of target on all of them and nailed them. The 87 I missed the first shot because I held top of target and again went over the top. Hold in center and nailed it. Seems the Fiocchi shoot pretty flat until the last few yards. I need more range time with these. One I figured out where to hold it was great. I like them. Oh using LM choke thru 26 inch barrel with no rear sight front bead only.
