I shot today, we actually finished ahead of schedule and shot an extra stage. Courses are fast and fun, the half day format is great and I'm up almost a g from the craps tables. Great vegas match so far. Anyone have a link to the practiscore yet?

Thank you to the 3GN team and staff for putting on a really fun match. Stages were fun, the RO's did a great job and other than the delay caused by the wind the match ran efficiently and on time.

My wife took a bunch of photos of the match and can be seen at the following link Most of the photos are of Squad 4, but there are photos of other squads as well.

I had a really great time! Just a quick reminder for everyone- PLEASE write a quick thank-you to any of the companies who put stuff in your prize bag. It only takes a minute, and ensures that they feel appreciated for supporting our sport. Tac-Com put a LOT of stuff on the tables, and I know they are a Vendor here on Enos. Make sure to support the companies that look after us!

All I can say is 3 gun nation puts on a great match, the ro's were top notch. The stages were fast and fun. The prize table was absolutely ridiculous. They really go all out on it. I'd like to thank all the sponsors....but especially the ones who filled my prize bag: Black Hole Weaponry, Remington, Cheaper than Dirt, Taccom, Prolix, Magpul, and Federal. Hopefully, I can get into another one.

If you want to see how its done and learn what I am doing you gotta watch some promo stuff for my sponsors that paid for me to shoot the match and paid for the camera and video editing software. If you don't want to watch that's fine just plan to continue not beating me.

Now that the Western Regional match is over, will the stages be posted anywhere? I've looked without success.

I do enjoy the YouTube videos but some questions do pop up that the WSBs might answer.

Sorry I don't know which stage it was but on one stage that uses all three guns, the videos I've seen so far has the shooter holstering their pistol before picking up their rifle. Was that a requirement? I did not see a place on the stage to abandon the pistol.

Another stage looks like it starts with an unloaded shotgun. If so, how did the Open folks with box magazines handle this?

And while I'm at it, can I ask where are the stages for the SE Regional posted?

Thanks.

Bill

The never require you to reholster hot. There were always dump buckets for the pistol. Done chose to reholster cause it was possibly faster.

The unloaded shotgun start was an unload shotgun start. Ammo on belt, at buzzer load and shoot. I'm sure the open guys popped a mag in or stuff in some speed loaders just like any empty gun start at a shotgun match.

They haven't posted stage descriptions yet and I'm guessing they won't. I'm not a big fan of it personally especially when I'm traveling and shipping ammo. But it is what it is. They are sending out email updates on the match as they set it up as well as posting about it on their Facebook.

Just a bit more info - the stage with the unloaded shotgun start was called a "Classifier" stage. It is not currently a classifier on the 3GN site. Maybe they will add it to the list of 3GN Classifiers at the end of the year??

I think it was new. We just shot a huge new classifier at USSA this weekend. It's like a pro series stage on a diet. Had 50 yard steel and 30 yards of movement up range. Awesome Classifiers.

Why would they not post the stages? Do they plan on shooting some of the same stages at a later Regional Match?

I enjoy watching all the YouTube videos and having the WSBs handy can put some of the shooting into reference.

A good example was one stage that I just could not figure out what they were shooting at. On your video Jesse I was finally able to tell that there were some long distance steel on the horizon.

Looking forward to some "pro series stages on diets". That will be fun.

Thanks.

Bill
