Higgins
My new TS arrived today and it came with several shock buffers. I noticed it did not have one installed from the factory. Are they a suggestion or should they be utilized? Thanks, Higgins

bigdave24
Most owners seem to think it's more reliable without. My 9 mm from CZ Custom came without.
kneelingatlas
Throw it away now or in three months once you've polished the feed ramp, the breech face and extractor and still get random failures to feed...
Feralshooter
Throw it away now or in three months once you've polished the feed ramp, the breech face and extractor and still get random failures to feed... Hahaha. Sounds like wisdom gained from experience. I removed the SS guide rod and buffers in my shadow and put in the cheap plastic rod. Much better and no worries about a chewed up shock buff jamming my slide mid match.
SDM
I don't use them, but when I first got the gun I did. I never had any trouble.
jayjay1
Same here, pulled it out once and never threw it in again.
Higgins
Thanks for the replies. I was not keen on the idea of using them. Higgins
BeerBaron
my experience is a little different (disclaimer: on a shadow not a TS). my shadow orange came with them (including 1 installed). I leave it in for practice, but remove it for matches. A hang up in a practice is not the end of the world (good bit for stoppage practice I guess), but I wouldn't want it in there for matches. given I shoot many more rounds in practice than matches it means frame/slide is protected most of the time, and max reliability when I need it. the feeding issues that kneelingatlas mentioned about the TS though may well be good reason to never use one in the TS. I can certainly see it could easily gum up the works if/when it breaks up... YMMV
