TXHK
First trip out to Copperhead Creek Shooting Club. Do we drive from one stage to the other or do we have to haul our gear?

The Donald
do you have a recommendation on a hotel in Marble Falls near the range or better yet is there 30A hookup at or near the range? Copperhead has a pretty big RV area in the off road area. Should have water and power hookups plus bathrooms. The range is pretty big, so you need to drive between stages. There are quite a few hotels in Cedar Park. La Quinta, new Motel 6, Holiday Inn Express. They are on 1431 a straight shot up to Copperhead. Marble Falls has quite a few hotels too. BigLucky
If y'all are staying at the La Quinta you should hit the road early because of the triathlon. They are closing the bridge down to one lane.

ShootfastRunfaster
I just checked the website for the triathlon and it shows to be on US 281 and further west. I am staying in Georgetown so we should not have a problem. Kuan

Wow, that must have been a pretty serious fight after the finishes some of those names put up at TXMG a few weeks ago! Congrats to all! The competition was VERY tough! Not sure how the stage points worked out - I haven't seen those results posted yet, but Kuan and JK were within about two seconds of each other in total time and the rest of us in the top 6 were within about 22 seconds of Kuan. I took myself out of the running when I failed to engage a flying clay on Stage 5 (20 sec penalty) and then pulled a pistol shot and ended up with only one hit on a paper target (5 sec penalty). With this group of competitors, there was NO room for error if you wanted a shot at winning.
