What I've found with 9mm M&Ps is that the bbls seem to have different length chambers, so you have to play with what you have, starting with the "plunk"test to see how long you can go before you are in to the rifling, then, you will want to make sure they will fit in the magazines, and feed well. Of course, you will be using dummie rounds for testing. Try doing slidelock reloads. When you get it to feed 40-50 times just hitting the slide release, you have found the length YOUR gun likes. Any of the powders you listed will work, but, recoil might be a little harsher than the best powders for 9mm minor. If you can find some jhps, I've found them to be a LOT more accurate out of my pistols. Especially when accuracy testing at 25 and 50 yards. The easiest way I found was to remove my barrel and drop the round in, then press down on it with my thumb. You shpould be able to turn the barrel up side down and have the round fall out. I run 4.9gr WSF with MG 124gr JHP@1.085", or ~4.7gr with MG 124gr JHP@1.065", ~130PF. I'd check your max OAL with the barrel plink test, but expect the CMJs to be able to be seated a bit longer, at least in the 1.10-1.15" range. Powder charge range for 124gr is ~4.7-5.3gr..would expect you to find a load that works between 4.8-5.0gr depending on OAL. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

X-treme 356." 147gr HPCBRN New Starline brass CCI 500 SPP Hodgdon TiteGroup 3.2gr 1.150" C.O.A.L. 910fps Ave. 133pf. 1.5" groups at 20yards Very soft recoiling load. Please work up your own load. I agree on the 4.4 load I chrono 1063fps avg with 124 x treme plate RN 132pf , col was 1.160 , using 231.... I see a 3.2 TG load above and I will be testing it with 115 and 124gr x treme plated RN in my 5" core, the Goal is find a safe lite load for steel that cycle my set up... M&p and glocks can fire out of battery using to light of a spring! My results above were thru a KKM barrell with a 2port comp and a 12lb spring ... My stock spring set up with the comp'd barrel would not extract fully... The gun runs 100% with the above minor pf load. And 12lb spring, this is the lightest spring I will use!
