goat68
BTW, one day of Ironnman ammo is about the same as any single 3 day 3 gun match. You will not be able to store two days of ammo in the ammo can so the first day the load will be a lot more. They also switched to a smaller can this year. There is no getting extra ammo from the car so you need to plan for extra shots and the occasional, but rare, Ironman reshoot. Plan on carrying more than a case of shotgun ammo. You'll probably end up having to hump 300 rounds or so the first day in addition to all the rifle and pistol ammo. The weight adds up quick. The first year I shot I think I was packing about 150 pounds on the start of the first stage. And take all the rifle and pistol ammo out of the packaging and store it in big ziplock bags. The packaging takes up a ton of space and you'll have a lot more room in your staging can if you store it that way. I think Travis wants to see the troopers suffer a bit more. The smaller ammo can is definitely going to hurt for us skinny guys. It will make the match more physically and mentally challenging this year than previous years. tgibson
the option to camp out at the range and have a larger ammo can as a cashe point is still on the table if you're interested. adios, tg
actionshooter
Travis, I didn't see that, is it posted somewhere? That's something to think about.....
Stlhead
Hell no! Make the troopers carry it all! First you let them Have food, then you did away with the bunker stage, is this the Ironman, or the balsawoodman? Hahahahahahahhaahhahahahah
goat68
So does camping mean in a tent on the ground with the badgers? Or have they all been relocated? That's really the only true trooper camping.
Chuck Anderson
Yes they've all been relocated. But they've been relocated to a large box at Travis' house. Each night Travis will randomly select half the Trooper tents and throw in pissed off badgers. Trooper will be required to neutralize said badger using only their bare hands and teeth. And yes that means some folks will get two badgers. Quit whining there were a lot of badgers this year.
SinistralRifleman
I'd recommend you have cases and uncase your guns when you're on deck to avoid exposing them to Parma moon dust more than you have to.
Stlhead
Chuck, I was also told on the sly that some of the badgers where very, what shall I say, "Frisky"?
Chuck Anderson
I heard Travis has been breeding special badgers just for the Troopers this year. Feeds them nothing but barb wire, Viagra and meth. Then makes them watch Russell's YouTube videos of past Trooper matches.
Finbox
Thanks for all the help guys. I have sent a email to travisg@mgmtargets.com and never got a reply. I don't know how or who to send a check to... Can anybody find a email or phone number on the http://www.mgmironman.com website? This is a big match for the website not to have any contact info. As my Post#16 stated I was on a wait list and got in with a email, not the normal match director website. Thanks again Edited March 17, 2014 by Finbox

Finbox
Well just checked my email and got this reply: "Because you've missed the payment deadline, I am withdrawing you from the 2014 MGM Ironman OLHOT match." I will try again next year, looks like a great match,
tgibson
I have no idea why I have not received any of your emails. I check both my regular email account and the Ironman account no fewer than four times every day, as well as checking the spam folders on both of these accounts. I have also sent several emails from the Ironman account with instructions on how much to send the check for, where to send it to, and who to make it out too. If you received this email, there is a good chance you receive the one I sent out before this telling you when, where, and how much to send the check for as I used the same exact email addresses for both of the emails. Send me another email right this minute and I'll go check it and verify that I received it. From there I'll see what the list looks like and see what I can do to get you back in the match. Adios, TG

openclassterror
Oh. In 1983 I was six. Don't remember much of it . The weird Al movie was UHF. That was where Kramer from Seinfeld got his start in acting.
window2time
It is my first time shooting Iron Man and I have a question about the long range bonus stages. My buddy shot it last year and he said he didn't even try to shoot the bonus stages. I would like to try but I don't want to make my scores/times even worse. If I completely fail on the bonus stage could my score/time get worse or is there only an upside to the bonus stages? My second question is whether I can use a bipod on the gun I use for the bonus stages? I am shooting in the Tactical Optics class. Thanks
