Multiple Strings

A local match had mutiple strings on every stage but no one wanted to take the time to add the times even though a calculator was available. No stat person was at the range so score sheets were checked the following day.

Is this normal at your matches? Should the times have been added before the score sheets were signed by the RO and shooter? Should the Match Director have required that the times were added?

In local steel matches I have the scorekeeper/RO add the strings and make sure each has a calculator. It makes the actual scoring super-easy. I'll post the whole thing sometime.

when I scorekeep, I do that in my head..... but I really appreciate my Stats guy!

For USPSA, the EZ software has you input the time for each string seperately.

So, adding them up on the score sheet is a bonus (might be help to make out poor writing).

Since I have to enter the individual strings when I do the scores, I don't see any point in the clipboard wrangler adding them too.

we use the palm scoring system, we input as we go and the palm totals the time.
