Someone please design a removable comp that attaches without threads.

You know, so a guy could keep a complaint, non registerd AR at home, and swap stocks and add his comp when he goes to shoot a match in America. Barrel threads are no good, it needs to attach another way. What a shame what we're forced to deal with.

I know it's a very small market, but you'd be the only game in town and people would be willing to pay.

I know the Jerry M comp was offered in set screw held version at one time. I may have one in a box somewhere from the old HBAR.

I have an AWB compliant Colt HBAR (MT6700C) that has a pinned on comp. It just slides over the muzzle and is held in place by two tapered pins that are perpendicular to the bore, one on top and one on bottom of the barrel. I believe that you could bore the threads out of a threaded comp, turn down your barrel right at the muzzle and attach one in the same way.

Smith enterprises makes one. Uses set screws on plain bbl and is very effective. At least they used to.

Not exactly what you asked for, but what about a quick change barrel kit. One setup for home, and another for matches?

Adding a clamp on will change how the gun shoots so it would need a rezero after attaching it. Had one here that now sits in the old parts box
