Chuck D
Has anyone tried a 4th Gen G34 with the factory beavertail insert in the USPSA box ? Curious if it fit.... Thanks !
LuisToledo
It should fit. The beavertail does not extend past the bottom of the backstrap thanks to the Glock's steep grip angle. I haven't tried putting it in the box yet, but from staring at mine yesterday with the beavertail installed, I was thinking the same thing and if you draw a rectangle around the gun with the front sight and muzzle at an opposing corner from the butt of the gun, then the beavertail doesn't even come into play. I'd be more worried about the large backstrap because that actually does extend the length of the pistol.
G34 CORDY
When did USPSA start using boxes?
RePete
When did USPSA start using boxes? It's in the rulebook. Look in the Appendices for Production and Single Stack. The dimensions are given. It's 3/16" longer than the IDPA box.
cnote
If it doesn't that would make a bad situation for lots of folks

cpa5oh
At USPSA Ohio Championship yesterday, at the chrono station, they had us put our pistol in the box, then weighed it...then they chrono'd our ammo. I never knew there was a box before that :-)
