635 PCSO
At the Tulsa Gun SHow in October I am planning on picking up a 625 5inch for IPSC. What do you guys reccomend for a holster?

Airedale
I like the Garcia Extreme. You can get it from Shooters Connection or from Frank Garcia. I have a CR Speed and it's ok also. It's more difficult to "get right" than the Garcia. I also have a Safariland 002 and recommend it as the last choice although it's the best price. ($64 at Dillion) When mine arrived, I couldn't get a J frame in much less an N frame. Heat and patience is required to get it working right. I haven't tried the Limcat but hear it's as slick as the Garcia. Buy the 625 and come towards the light Good Luck, Dave
spook
CR Speed all the way. There is no limit in how fast you can draw from a CR. And the big plus is that it is very very secure at the same time.
Pete Whyte
My Safariland 002 works great with my 6inch 586 as well as my 5inch 625. Had to open it up by placing the 625 in the holster with a piece of cardboard between the cylinder and the holster. Then I used a hairdryer. I also cut it down a little around the top so the cylinder would clear the holster easier.
wheel gunner
If you can find one, IMHO, the old Ernie Hill revolver holster still is about the best there is.
Wideload
I am using a Blade-tek DOH. I opened up the front of the holster with a Dremmel tool to allow for faster presentation but still offer good retention. Feels similar to my Production setup as far as how high I have to pull up on the gun before the muzzle can clear the holster.
tirvin
+1 On the Blade Tec, takes a while to get once ordered though. One i would steer clear of,(for competition) the safariland custom fit. They have a suede leather lining, and drag pretty bad until they get broken in.
