v1911
Anyone have any experience with these? Looking to get some red ones. http://tarantactical...7097a71e346e16f I'm looking to use these on 126mm 9mm mags. I've been reading that stock mags are plenty reliable but once you start trying to increase capacity, there can be a need to tune the mags. I am hoping to get a bit more length to help clear an IDPA legal magwell while maintaining reliability and legality. This is primarily for aesthetics since increasing capacity does me no good for IDPA.
Paul-the new guy
You can only load 10+1 for idpa. The best basepads for that are Dawson wedge. I use Taran for all my other mags. Love them
Cavy
+1 for TT bases. I have them on all my mags. No tools needed and dust won't jam the detent like those with sliding release.
RippSpeed
I was probably one of the first ones to test them out ... And they can take a freaking beating ... being dropped on cement, sand, concrete and rocks... the ionbond coat he puts on them are freaking awesome. they make my mags past the gauges with alittle left to spare... pjb45
I now have a boat load of them. I like them very much. I have a couple different calibers, so I color code my magazines.
IceDevil
For IDPA where you don't need capacity I would just get the Dawson Easy Off base pads. They are available in different thicknesses but don't add capacity. They are also half the price of the TTI pad.
v1911
I looked over what Dawson had to offer. Either what I was looking for wasn't available in red or they didn't have it in stock, anywhere. Maybe I'll take another look.
