sperman
I bought my first CD in 1986. Now over 25 years later, it still suckes trying to get that stupid little protective strip of tape off of the top. I can't beileve there isn't a better option by now. DCMJ
Pop the cover free from the hinge side, then peel off the seal. Works first time, every time, problem solved. Mods - yep, I know this is for hate but when you see a problem you can solve, resistance is futile.

forddriver
Gee, my 45 RPM records don't come with any tape on them ! Is the 45 RPM like the 45 ACP? or is it that big black thing that spins on the thing with the needle thing? LOL
Steve RA
No, it is the little black ones with the big hole in the middle as opposed to the big black ones with the small hole in the middle !!!

sperman
I'm like Snertley. I still like to have a CD sitting on the shelf when I pay for music. Doesn't mean I can't put it on my mp3 player, or a usb stick to listen to it in my car. It does mean I don't have to worry about any digitial media licenses. Steve RA
Agree, got enough CDs to cover a small wall, sadly all the 45s have been gone for many moons. I remember the first record player I had, think it was a little RCA that you had to wire up to a speaker in a radio. Which probably - being a mono set up - didn't sound quite like a modern Bose speaker set. Remember the first 45 I ever had was "it wasn't God who made Honky Tonk angels", which was a gift as I wasn't much of a C&W fan.
